This small crochet heart is completed in a single round using a nifty technique called the magic ring. So it’s perfect for using up scrap yarn!
If you’re unfamiliar with the magic ring, this article will really help you out. It’s a little tricky to get the hang of at first but it’s an incredibly useful skill to know.

Pattern Notes
This adorably small crochet heart is currently available in one size only. You can change the size slightly by using a thicker yarn and a larger hook for a bigger heart, or by using a thinner yarn and a smaller hook for a smaller heart.
When you use a medium-weight yarn and the recommended hook size, your heart will measure about 2″ wide. If your measurements aren’t exactly the same, there’s nothing to worry about.
To make a bigger crochet heart: Use a bulky weight yarn and a 6.5 mm crochet hook
To make a smaller crochet heart: Use a lightweight yarn and a 4 mm crochet hook.
You can experiment with different yarn weights and hook sizes to change the finished size of your heart, and there’s no need to make any adjustments to the pattern. This is the easiest way to crochet a bigger or smaller butterfly.
Gauge: Use the finished size to check your gauge
Finished Size: 2″ wide by 1.5″ long

Finishing Your Small Crochet Heart
