Project Ideas

Blanket, rug

The basket weave crochet stitch is a great way to add texture and depth to your project. It’s a reversible stitch, making it a great choice for projects where both sides will show.

Suggested Supplies

The basket weave crochet stitch works up rather thick so light and medium-weight yarns are a great choice. However, you can also use bulky and super bulky weight yarns for an extra thick, durable project like a rug.

Supplies used in demonstration video:

  • Lion Brand Touch of Merino Yarn
  • 5 mm Crochet Hook
  • Yarn Needle
  • Scissors
