The crochet chevron stitch is a modern twist on the classic ripple stitch. It’s reversible and creates a dense fabric making it a great choice for all sorts of projects.

Suggested Supplies

Pair the crochet chevron stitch with just about any yarn in your stash from lightweight to super bulky. Choosing multiple colors of smooth yarns will showcase the design and really make your project pop.

Supplies used in demonstration video:

  • Yarn used in video discontinued
  • Lion Brand Jeans Yarn
  • 5.5 mm Crochet Hook
  • Yarn Needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations & Special Stitches

  • BLO Back Loop Only
  • Ch Chain
  • Hk Hook
  • Rep Repeat
  • Sc Single Crochet
  • Sk Skip
  • St(s) Stitch(es)

Additional Notes: Ch 1 at beginning of rows does NOT count as a stitch. By working your stitches in the back loops only, the pattern will look ridged and have more texture. You can use the same stitch pattern to work in the stitches as normal for a flatter, smoother look.
