Fall is in full swing and that means your hooks should be too!
Fall is without a doubt my favorite time of year. I love designing around the chilly weather and beautiful color transitions. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of providing you with some amazing crochet patterns that are completely FREE. As time passes, these great designs can often be forgotten.
I’ve decided to give you a few round up posts each year to revive them!
Before we get into the core of 2016 fall designs and free patterns, I want to start the season by introducing you to or reminding you of some of the B.hooked fall favorites. Here are 10 of my absolute favorite fall designs.
Woven Stitch Hat
The Woven Stitch Hat is truly unique. We use a gorgeous, self-striping yarn, Mary Maxim Prism to create a one-of-a-kind striping pattern. It works up in only a few short evenings and can be worn all winter long.

Simply Ribbed Boot Cuffs
I love these boot cuffs! We use a unique stitch technique to create a ribbing stitch that is stretchy and “knit-like”. Lion Brand Wool Ease yarn is perfect for this pattern but you can also substitute for any worsted weight yarn making this pattern perfectly versatile.
Broomstick Lace Infinity Scarf
The Broomstick Lace Infinity Scarf holds a very special place in my heart. This was THE pattern that catapulted B.hooked Crochet into the name it is today. It solidified my “signature yarn of choice”, Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable and was the start to many other patterns using this incredible yarn. The Broomstick Infinity Scarf won the hearts of many over the years and I am so very grateful it is still loved today.
Puff Stitch Hat
The Puff Stitch hat is another fan favorite. It was originally created in an adult size and has also been converted to a baby and toddler size due to incredible demand. Here it is shown in Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable but it also looks wonderful in Vickie Howell Sheep-ish yarn.
Fall is a great time to start working on a cozy winter blanket. I made this afghan over the course of about two weeks and it has since become the house favorite. Bernat Blanket yarn makes an incredible afghan. You must try it at least once and this pattern is perfect for your first!
I may be a little biased but this poncho is a show stopper. I hosted a crochet along last fall featuring this beautiful design along side Scheejeswol who provided the amazing yarn. It is available in two different versions: open neck as shown here and a turtle neck. You can also choose between a fringed edging or a subtle picot border.
Hairpin Lace Infinity Scarf
This is another early design that brought a lot of attention to B.hooked Crochet. Learn the amazing technique of hairpin lace and make a gorgeous cowl in the process. They work up quick so they are excellent for gift giving!
Reversible Tunisian Crochet Boot Cuffs
These boot cuffs have become a staple in my fall wardrobe. I made five different pairs using different colors to coordinate with just about every outfit and boots I own. As the name implies, you will use the Tunisian crochet technique to work them up but we take it a bit further and introduce the double ended crochet hook to work Tunisian in the round. This is a great learning experience!
The Easiest Pumpkin You’ll Ever Make
The name of this pattern says it all. It is indeed the easiest pumpkin you will ever crochet. No decreasing here to form the shape! I like to spread these little pumpkins all over my house during the fall season. They add a sense of “hominess”.
Beginner Crochet Leg Warmers
Last but certainly not least is the beginner crochet leg warmers. They are perfect for your first crochet project and perfect with your favorite pair of leggings. Lion Brand Landscapes yarn really makes this pattern unique.
I hope you’ve enjoyed our first “official” round up post here on B.hooked Crochet. A great deal of time and effort goes into each and every pattern, tutorial and blog post. I sure hate to see them buried in the archives!
Stay tuned for a month full of great new patterns as we celebrate “Crochet Gift Month” in November 2016. I have a lot of amazing things in the works for you.
Until then, happy hooking!
