Crochet for Charity – because you care.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last several years it’s that crocheters are some of the nicest and giving people that roam the planet. I’ve learned that most people who crochet, give there projects to someone in need. These projects have consumed dozens of hours of their time and energy and they willingly give that to someone else. It’s so heartwarming.
I’ve been blessed to have a voice in this wonderful community and I’ve pledged to use that influence for good – to encourage crocheters to donate their projects to charity and to provide free patterns for them to use.
I’m really excited about this month’s Look Book from Yarnspirations because the theme is “Charity”.
The June Look Book: Charity
The Charity Look Book and collection of patterns launched yesterday, June 6th. The new patterns are so inspiring. There is a project to fit just about any need when it comes to charity crochet projects. Whether you’re a crocheter or a knitter, you’ll find something incredible to make that you can donate to your favorite organization.
Just click (or tap) on that link above to see all 48 pages of charity projects that await. This months patterns range from a a bunting to pillows and everything in between. You’ll find 13 free patterns for what you see above as well as others that aren’t pictured here!
If you’d like to go straight to the patterns and bypass the inspiration in the Look Book, you can view all the new Yarnspirations patterns this month right here:
My Charity Project
As always, I’m incredibly honored to work with Yarnspirations to bring you video tutorials for some of their amazing patterns. We put our heads together and chose to feature the Crochet Comfort Shawl.
The process of crocheting this shawl was therapeutic. Not only was it beautiful to see the pattern come together but I knew that with every stitch, this shawl serves one purpose – to comfort someone in need.
If you’d like to learn how to crochet the Crochet Comfort Shawl, the tutorial will be available on my YouTube channel on June 11, 2017! Keep an eye out for that post here on the blog as well.
If you haven’t done so already, take a few minutes to flip through the virtual pages of the June Look Book from Yarnspirations. That link again is:
When you see a project you like and might try out yourself, tell me in the comments section below. I’d love to hear what you’re going to make! If you need any help, please let me know. That’s what I’m here for.
