Finishing

Turn your hat inside out. Thread your darning needle and whip stitch across the top opening of the hat. Secure your stitches by making a knot at the end. Turn the hat on the right side.

You will need approximately 10 strands of yarn for each tassel cut at about 8 inches long. To assemble each tassel, fold the group of yarn in half around your hook. Insert your hook in between the stitches in the corner of the hat. Using your hook, pull the tail of the group of yarn through the stitches and secure by pulling tightly. Repeat this for the other side.
