Creating a crochet four-leaf clover makes for a delightful St. Patrick’s Day project, and the best part is, that you won’t require a lot of yarn. You can experiment with different yarn weights to personalize your clovers just the way you like.

I love scattering these charming crocheted four-leaf clovers throughout my home in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, giving it a warm and homemade touch. They’re also perfect to pin to your blouse or decorate your mantle with.

Pattern Notes

To make one clover, you’ll use several simple crochet stitches. If you’re already familiar with the stitches mentioned in the Abbreviations section, you’ll breeze through this pattern without any difficulty. The clover is crafted by working in the round and requires just two rounds.

The exciting part is, that you can make clovers of different sizes by sticking to the same pattern but using different yarn weights and hook sizes. Just pick a hook that matches the new yarn you want to use.

Gauge: Use the finished size to check your gauge, but don’t stress if yours isn’t the same size. They’ll still work perfectly fine!

Finishing the Crochet Four-Leaf Clover

Once you’re done with the second round, fasten off and weave in those loose ends. If your clover doesn’t seem perfect right away, no worries. it might look a bit scrunched up from being held while you crocheted it. Just use your hands to flatten it out and do some finger blocking.

If it’s still not quite what you want, wet blocking is another option! If you’re not sure about blocking, check out this article I have that explains everything you need to know about it!
