Tulip Review for web

If you’ve been a fan of mine for any amount of time, you know how much I love my Clover Amour Hooks. However, one of the great perks of my job is having the opportunity to try out the latest and greatest tools of the trade to provide educated and thorough product reviews for you watch.

The Tulip Etimo Crochet hook is next up on my growing list of product review videos. I had been intrigued by the Tulip Etimo hooks for quite a while before I had the chance to use them, so you can imagine my excitement when this product review came about. The Tulip hook, so similar to the Amour, yet so sophisticated…I had to get my hands on one, just look at how beautiful they are!

I bought a grey set of the Tulip Etimo hooks last month. I actually look forward to crocheting again because they are so effortless, plus it includes the elusive #7 hook. I am awaiting a K hook to complete and there is already a slot for it.

    • I know, it’s almost like it was meant to be! I used that extra little slot for my K too. I’m so glad they brought you back to crochet. They really are a dream to use!

You used to use the Clover Amour all the time – may I ask what it is you prefer about these in long term use? How to the Clover Amour feel if you go back to them? I use the same hold as you and got a set of Clover Amour hooks (which I love) but I’m curious what makes you stick with Tulip over Clover now?

Thanks so much for this review! I wish I’d have found this before I purchased my Clover Soft Touch hooks! I am a knife grip crocheted and twist my hook similar like you demonstrated and absolutely hated the Soft Touch hooks. I thought there was something wrong with me. Due to arthritis in my hands, I needed to find a better ergonomic hook or give up crocheting. The Soft Touch hooks were less comfortable for me than plain aluminum hooks. I couldn’t figure out why that would be as they were so highly rated as more comfortable because of the wider handle, which was exactly what I thought I needed. I also have a Clover Amour set, but after seeing your review on the Tulip’s Etimo’s, I decided to get a set and try them out. I LOVE them! I can crochet for hours with no fatigue. They are as beautiful to use as to look at! I like their smoother handle than the Crochet Amour and they glide so beautifully through each stitch. Thanks to you, I’m now able to crochet again! I will check your site first for a review before new crochet purchases. Thank you so much for sharing your review. I know different hooks fit different ways of crocheting. I also appreciated your mentioning who may may like one brand hook over the other.

Thanks for the great review! I’ve been looking at this set for a while and wondering if it was worth the investment. I’ve been using plain metal hooks, but as I start crocheting more and more I realized I would need something more comfortable. Thanks again for such a thorough review!
