- 65 Yards, Lily’s Sugar ‘n Cream Cotton, #4 worsted weight
- Ball Wide Mouth Mason Jar
- Size 5 mm hook (for rounds 1-15)
- Size 4 mm hook (for round 16)
- Darning Needle
- Scissors

Gauge and Sizing
This pattern was designed for the 800-ml, Ball Wide-Mouth Mason Jar. You can substitute mason jar brand as long as the jar measures 6.5″ high x 12″ around. The finished mason jar cozy will measure approximately 6″ tall by 12″ around.
Abbreviations
- Ch – Chain
- Dc – Double Crochet
- Hdc – Half Double Crochet
- Sc – Single Crochet

Written Instructions
Using your 5 mm hook
Round 1: Make a magic ring (or alternate method) with 10 Dc. (10 sts)
Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Make 2 Dc in every stitch. Join with slst to the 3rd chain. (20 sts)
Round 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Dc in the first stitch. *2 Dc in the next stitch, 1 Dc in the next. Repeat from * around and join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (30 sts)
Round 4: Ch 2 (counts as hdc). Hdc in the first 2 sts. *2Hdc in the next stitch, 1 Hdc in the next 2 sts. Repeat from * around and join with a slst to the 2nd chain. (40 sts)
Round 5: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Make one Dc in every stitch. Join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (40 sts)
Round 6: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Make one Dc in every stitch. Join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (40 sts)
Round 7: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch). *Skip one stitch, dc in the next, ch 1. Repeat from * around and join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (20 dc sts, 20 ch)
Round 8: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Make one dc in every stitch and ch 1 gap space. Join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (40 sts)
Round 9: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch). *Skip one stitch, dc in the next, ch 1. Repeat from * around and join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (20 dc sts, 20 ch)
Round 10: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Make one dc in every stitch and ch 1 gap space. Join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (40 sts)

Round 15: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Make one Dc in every stitch. Join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (40 sts)
Switch to your 4.5 mm hook
Round 16: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Make one Dc in every stitch. Join with a slst to the 3rd chain. (40 sts)
Bind off and weave in your ends.
