With this project you’ll get to practice the loop stitch, a unique stitch that brings this flower to life. It’s crocheted in a flat piece and rolled to create the many flower layers. Pair it with your favorite medium weight yarn and you’re good to go.

- Color A – Ocean; approx 12 yds

- 5.5mm Crochet hook (flower)

**Loop Stitch (LS): Wrap working yarn around index finger. Insert hk in next st, YO and pull up a loop. Gently release wrapped yarn from index finger. YO and pull through two loops.
Use finished size to measure gauge.

Row 1: Ch 61. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each rem ch.
Row 2: Ch 1. LS in the next st and in each rem st. Fasten off leaving an 8″ tail to use in stitching the flower together. Set aside and proceed to leaves.
Leaves (Make 2)
Round 1: Ch 8. Slst in next ch. 1 sc in next ch. 1 hdc in next ch. 1 dc in next ch. 1 tc in next ch. 1 dc in next ch. 4 hdc in last ch. Rotate to cont working on opposite side of ch. 1 dc in next ch. 1 tc in next ch. 1 dc in next ch. 1 hdc in next ch. 1 sc in next ch. Slst in last ch. Fasten off.
Step 1: Thread the flower piece end on yarn needle. Roll the work adding whip stitches to secure it as you go.
Step 2: Use yarn needle and leaf ends to stitch them to the flower.
