I recently had the opportunity to try out Deramores Studio DK yarn and I loved it so much, I just had to share it with you! Deramores is a UK-based yarn company that sells a variety of yarn brands as well as their own line, Studio. Even though they are located in the UK, their yarn is available to us here in the States through their website. Studio DK (abbreviation for “double knit”) is now one of my go-to yarns.

Alright, let’s have a look at the details.

  • I found Studio DK about a year ago and immediately it became my primary “go-to” yarn. Anti-pilling? Yes please! I bought a few skeins of each color and with rare exception, it’s the only yarn I use. With lovely drape and sheen, it out-performs all other acrylic DKs by a substantive margin. I do, however, have one complaint: the lack of colorway variety. Yes, there are 35 beautiful shades from which to choose, but that’s just not enough! I want more greens, a couple more yellows, a different red and another blue! Get on that would you? 🙂

I’ve been knitting with this yarn for quite a while, I love it for baby knits, it’s so soft & the stitch definition is brilliant.

I have done two throws in this yarn ,number three starting soon.I found it really easy to work with, and as the first one was done over a year ago and in constant use,it really is non- pilling.

It’s great yarn. I’ve been knitting with Studio Dk for a couple of years now. It works brilliantly for anything that needs stitch and colour definition. It comes in particularly handy for xmas bauble designs that need to stand out and stand the test of time.
