If you’re brand new to knitting and you want to make something a little more involved than a scarf, you’re in the right place. Even if you aren’t a beginner knitter this classic garter stitch knit pillow is a great addition to your couch or bed.

With this project you’ll get lots of practice knitting the garter stitch, the most basic (yet still beautiful) stitch there is. It comes together in three separate pieces so you can take it off and throw it in the wash.

We prepared a list of recommended supplies and abbreviations you’ll need to get started, a few video tutorial recommendations to get you started and, of course, written instructions to walk you through our classic garter stitch knit pillow from start to finish.
