  • Color A – Grape
  • Color B – Navy

Written Instructions

Knit Shawl Section One

With color A, CO 3 stitches.

Row 1: k all stitches

Row 2: k first stitch. M1. k to end.

Row 3: k all stitches

Row 4: k all stitches

Row 5: k all stitches

Rep rows 2-5 until your shawl measures 30″ long from the starting point.

Knit Shawl Section Two

Join color B. Do not break color A.

Row 1: k first stitch. M1. k to end.

Row 2: k all stitches

Row 3: Break color B and pick up color A. k all stitches

Row 4: k all stitches

Join color C. Do not break color A.

Row 5: k first stitch. M1. k to end.

Row 6: k all stitches

Row 7: Break color C and pick up color A. k all stitches

Row 8: k all stitches

Join color D. Do not break color A.

Row 9: k first stitch. M1. k to end.

Row 10: k all stitches

Row 11: Break color D and pick up color A. k all stitches

Row 12: k all stitches

Rep rows 1-12 until your shawl measures 36″ from the starting point. End on color C.

Knit Shawl Section Three

Pick up color A

Row 1: K2tog. k to end.

Row 2: k all stitches

Join color D. Do not break color A.

Row 3: k all stitches

Row 4: k all stitches

Break color D. Pick up color A.

Row 5: K2tog. k to end.

Row 6: K all stitches

Join color B. Do not break color A.

Row 7: K all stitches

Row 8: K all stitches

Break color B. Pick up color A.

Row 9: K2tog. k to end.

Row 10: k all stitches

Join color C. Do not break color A.

Row 11: K all stitches

Row 12: K all stitches

Break color C. Pick up color A.

Row 13: K all stitches

Row 14: K all stitches

Join color D. Do not break color A.

 

Rep rows 3-14 until your shawl measures 42″ from the starting point. End on Color B.

Knit Shawl Section Four

With color A

Row 1: k2tog. k to end.

Row 2: k all stitches

Row 3: k all stitches

Row 4: k all stitches

Rep rows 1-4 until you have three stitches remaining. Cast off. Weave in your ends and block if needed.
