Gather Your Supplies
- 2 skeins, Patons Alpaca Blend yarn (Birch & Smoke shown), approx 20 yds each color
- US 10 Circular Knitting Needles, 24″
- Darning Needle

- P – Purl
- Rep – Repeat
- Sts – Stitches
Gauge and Sizing
10 sts x 11.5 rows = 2″
Your finished knit headband will measure approximately 7.5″ wide (unstretched), 11.5″ (stretched) and 3.5″ tall.
This knit headband uses a very simple 2 x 1 rib stitch and gorgeous yarn to create luscious texture. For assistance with the cast on process, have a look at my video demonstrating the long tail cast on:

With Color A
CO 72 sts. Join to knit in the round.
Round 1: *K2. P1. Rep from * around.
Rounds 2-9: Rep round 1. Break color A and start round 10 with Color B.
Rounds 10-19: With color B, Rep round 1.
Bind off in pattern. Keep your bind off as loose as possible to allow for the headband to stretch.
