Additional Notes: Cuddles is made up of 9 elements: four legs, a body, a head, two ears, and a horn. Before each element is complete, add stuffing (before the opening is too small). Attach elements in this order: front legs to the body, head, back legs, ears, and horn. Once you have attached all of the elements, bring cuddles to life by embroidering the eyes and adding a mane and tail.

Assembly

Step 1: Sew the opening of the front legs closed with a yarn needle and color A. Sew head opening closed with the tail from the head. With body tail, sew head in place. Sew ears and horn to head using the photos or tutorial for reference. Attach the back legs at each side of the body with a large yarn needle, running the yarn all the way through one leg, the body, and through the other leg. Add the buttons on for decoration.

Step 2: For the mane, make several cuts of yarn that are 10″ long using a mix of colors C, D and E. Attach them to the head one by one in the following way – poke the crochet hook through the stitch and pull a cut of yarn through. Pull it so the stitch is in the middle of the cut and tie a double knot. Use photos as a visual reference for placement and distribution.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 for the tail but make your cuts 16″ long. Thickness is completely up to you!

Step 4: Wrap two strands of your favorite contrast colors around the horn to give it a spiral effect. Thread both strands on your darning needle go down into the center of your magic ring and poke it out the side. Wrap the two strands around until you reach the base. Use a knot to secure it on both ends and hide the remaining bits in the middle of the horn.
