Gather Your Supplies
This pattern was written and tested for Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick yarn which makes it work up really fast!
If you decide to substitute yarn for this project, I recommend you stay within the chunky weight category.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Color A | 1 skein Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick (Storm Front shown)
- Color B | 1 skein Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick (Blossom shown)
- 6.5 mm Knitting Needles
- Darning Needle

12 sts x 24 rows = 4″ worked in garter stitch
Your finished scarf will measure approximately 5″ wide by 60″ long when slightly stretched.
- CO – Cast On
- K – Knit
- Rem – Remaining
- St(s) – Stitch(es)

This pattern requires approximately 200 yards of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick yarn for the size. You may choose to use two colors as I did here, use a single color or as many as you would like!

Super Easy Knit Scarf Instructions
Row 1: With A, CO 16 sts. (Minute Mark 0:50)
Row 2: K all sts.
Rep row 2 until your scarf measures approximately 11″ long from cast on edge.
Next Row: K all sts with color B
Rep last row until your scarf measures approximately 48″ long from cast on edge.
Next Row: K all sts with color A
Rep last row until your scarf measures approximately 60″ from cast on edge when slightly stretched and work a simple knitting bind off. (Minute Mark 7:10)
