In this episode…
In this episode of B.Hooked TV you’ll learn how to change colors to crochet stripes in the round, both in a spiral or with joins.
There are two ways to crochet in the round:
- Crocheting in a spiral.
- Joining at the end of the round.
With the spiral method, there are no joins in the project at all. You continue to crochet around and around and the project builds on itself like a spring or spiral staircase. Because the first stitch of the round is at a lower point than the last stitch of the round, you’ll notice a color jog (or a visible step) when changing colors. There’s no perfect fix but I’ll share how I minimize the jog so it looks a little cleaner.
The joining method of working crochet stripes in the round will give you a cleaner and more even look. I’ll walk you through that as well!
