Gauge

26 sts x 27.5 rows = 4″
worked in stockinette stitch

If you’re new to color work knitting and catching long floats, you’ll need to be very careful with your gauge. If your floats are too tight, the hat will be too tight and may not fit properly. Work a few test swatches until you’re comfortable with the technique.

Switch to magic loop method or double pointed needles when stitches no longer fit around the 16″ circulars when you decrease for the crown.

Additional Notes: Instructions for sizes are given as follows:

6-12 mos (Toddler, Child, Teen, Women’s, Mens)
