About this Pattern

If you’re looking for a quick-win project that’s festive for the season, you’re in the right place. Scatter these little crochet candy corns about your house to add a little homemade flare to your fall decor.

With this project you’ll see how gradual and strategically placed increases creates a cone shape, a skill that’s useful for other projects too! We used a velvety soft yarn for ours but it’s a pretty versatile pattern. Feel free to substitute with any medium weight yarn you have on hand.

Before you begin, review this page entirely so you understand the full scope of the project. We have a list of recommended supplies and abbreviations here on this page as well as written instructions and a tutorial to walk you through our crochet candy corn step-by-step.

These crochet candy corn are worked in the round starting with the point and working to the bottom. The bottom is stitched closed after stuffing. You may see a color jog when you change colors. That’s normal. We oriented them to the back so they aren’t as visible. Yarn required estimates are for the pair –  the amount of yarn you’ll need to make one small and one large candy corn.
